Today, November 7th, marks the 144th anniversary of the birth of Marie Curie.  Marie Curie was an amazing and inspiring scientist, and was even chosen as "the most inspirational woman in science" in a 2009 magazine poll.  To honor and tribute this remarkable individual, the Google homepage is celebrating the 144th anniversary of her birth with a delightful impressionistic looking Google doodle.
